Bio
Artist Michael Ross resides in Athens, Georgia, and grew up in Norway, Finland, and the Washington, D.C. area. After spending time in San Francisco, Ross earned an MFA in drawing and painting from the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia.
Ross' work is part of public and private collections in the United States and Europe, including the Georgia Museum of Art in Athens, the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Macon, and the District Department of Transportation in Washington, D.C. He has participated in artist residencies in Maine, Vermont, Norway, Iceland, and Benin. When he’s not painting, Ross loves running on trails in the mountains of North Georgia.
